To practice writing in character voice and use the text to make inferences about the character’s “off-screen” life

Students will write a three-page journal entry from the perspective of Polly Finch. The entry should describe a day in Polly’s life at any point during the timeline of Farmer Finch, explaining what she did and how she felt about it.
