PRIVATE HUDSON: Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?
PRIVATE VAZQUEZ: No. Have you?
Hudson asks this in a sarcastic way to Vasquez who is a tough as Marine. But in his sarcasm Hudson is bitten back by Vasquez with her wit.
"What do you mean they cut the power? How could they cut the power, man? They're animals!"
Hudson's statement is clear: these aren't human beings they are dealing with they are an animal species. He believes they shouldn't have the capability to know to cut the power, ironically they do.
"Hudson! This little girl survived longer than that with no weapons and no training."
Ripley makes it clear with this statement why she should be leading the way from here on out. She has survived this before and is able to do it again.
