Kind of Activity:
Individual Writing
Objective:
Students will demonstrate their comprehension of the play, especially but not limited to Ann's character, by writing journal entries from Ann's perspective after Act I.
Structure:
Students will get into pairs to dissect and analyze Ann's character in this section of the reading. What is her personality like? What is her opinion of the Keller family? How does she feel about Chris proposing to her? What is her relationship with her own family? How do you know? What information or clues from the text reveal who she is?
