Structure:

By now, groups of students have finished the rough drafts of their romans à clef. Ask groups to share what they think is good about their work so far and what they're worried about.

Then, ask students to define what makes a good roman à clef. Since by now they've been exposed to the bulk of All the King's Men as well as excerpts from other novels, they should have ideas about what qualities make a roman à clef strong and...
