Even if you live a healthy life and take plenty of vitamins, age will always be the final killer. However, recent studies have discovered a possible alternative to stretch life spans through an enzyme called telomerase. By altering the effects, it could seemingly be possible to immortalize cells by elongating the chromosomes. This could change mankind altogether.

However, the only stopping force is that the enzyme only affects certain cells, such as fetal tissues, adult germ cells, and tumor cells. When in other cells, the enzyme is invisible and doesn’t have much of an effect.

Growing up in a house complete with roughly 150 different species of reptiles my entire life, I’ve always had a passion for science. Discovering possible causes and solutions was constantly a new challenge on my agenda. My attention is devoted to two main topics: biology and psychology, creating my curiosity in the medical field. Therefore, learning possible ways to improve human life sparked my interest.
