Why Notre Dame? Anonymous

Upon touring Notre Dame virtually, I fell in love with the majestic, French Revival architectures that entrenched the campus. I fell in love with its Twin Symbols — the Golden Dome and the Basilica — standing sky high, defining Notre Dame’s Catholic presence over the blue sky of South Bend. I fell in love with the spirituality of the Touchdown Jesus.

The more I sought in the beauty of the college, Notre Dame became so much more than just a school — Notre Dame became my aspirations. I aspired to wake up every morning with the Notre Dame pennant staring down at me. I aspired to immerse myself in its rich Catholic education that touches on human solidarity and concern for the common good. I aspired to be a Domer — a part of the diverse, religious, and intellectually driven student body.

Motivated to become a Domer, my aspirations became a way of life. I came to the realization that my acceptance to Notre Dame was only the beginning of my perpetual journey for knowledge.
