Zack Lightman
Zack Lightman is a high school student who helps to save the world after an alien invasion. Zack is the protagonist of this text and is presented as being a talented video game player. He lost his father at a young age and lives with his mother. Zack is a huge fan of video games and conspiracy theories and also works at a video game store called the Starbase Ace.
Ray
Ray owns the Starbase Ace, Zack's workplace. He is a kind of father figure to Zack, and it is later revealed that he works for the government.
Xavier
Xavier is Zack's late father, who died when Zack was a young boy. Despite this, Xavier has a strong presence in the novel, due to his extensive knowledge of conspiracy theories, in the form of his notebooks.
Later in the novel, it is revealed that his father is still alive, and his death was staged by the government.
Cruz
Michael Cruz is one of Zack's two bestfriends. They are both in the same grade level and attend the same school. They frequently play "Armada" and "Ferma" together.
