Marty McFly
Marty McFly is the main character and the son of George McFly and Lorraine Baines McFly. He was born in Hill Valley and grew up in a normal home. He is close friends with Dr. Emmet “Doc” Brown. He is driven by curiosity for the unknown and doesn’t always think though the choices and consequences of his actions before he does them.
“Doc” Emmett Lathrop Brown
Doc is a “crazy inventor” and he makes a time machine from a DeLorean sports car and plutonium. He is interested in science and his work is regarded with thoughtfulness and admiration by many, though everyone knows that he is insane. He also bundles with criminal activity, as they are sent backwards in time because of the Libyans that want their plutonium back, which Doc happened to steal.
Biff Tannen
Biff Tannen is the main antagonist and a lifelong bully of George McFly (Marty McFly's father). Marty's resentment towards Biff is fueled by the mistreatment of his father, who refuses to stand up for himself in both the past and present. Biff, who uses brute force and intimidation to get his work done by Marty's father, has no problem getting ahead in life at the plight of others.
