Borderlands La Frontera: The New Mestiza Lesson Plan

Relationship to Other Books

Perhaps best-known of Anzaldúa's other work is the anthology she co-edited, This Bridge Called My Back: Writings by Radical Women of Color (1981). Suggested works by Anzaldúa's contemporaries as well current authors include Getting Home Alive (1986) by Rosario Morales, who published pieces in This Bridge Called My Back, Nadie Me Verá Llorar (No One Will See Me Cry) (1999) by Cristina Rivera-Garza, a Chicana author who is known for blending genres, similarly to Anzaldúa, essays and speeches by Black feminist author Audre Lorde, and We Will Not Cancel Us And Other Dreams of Transformative Justice (2020) by Adrienne Maree Brown, who was born in El Paso Texas.
