Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was the President of the United States during and after to the Civil War. He and his policies supported the Northern cause, and he had a lot of people that hated him because of it. He was married to Mary Todd Lincoln, who was depressed because of the death of their son. He was shot and killed at the Ford Theatre while he was on a date with his wife.
John Wilkes Booth
John Booth was a supporter of the Southern cause, and he hated Abraham Lincoln and his policies. He was a famous actor and had many contacts, and it was therefore easy for him to access Abraham Lincoln; nonetheless, he was afraid to get caught and therefore waited a long time before following through with his plans.
Dr. Leale
Dr. Leale was the doctor who was present in the audience during Abraham Lincoln’s death. He ran up and tried getting control over the Presidents injury, but he quickly realized that the wound was fatal. Dr. Leale helped move and remove Lincoln's body. Even though he didn’t manage to save the President, the doctor is still honored till this day.
