Sorting Hemingway's Stories

Objective:

Students will identify common features in Hemingway's stories and sort them analytically

Structure:

This activity can serve as preparation for upcoming final essays. Have students form small groups and discuss how they would categorize Hemingway's stories if they had to do so as a first step in analyzing the collection they've read. Each group should come up with three (or more) ideas and should design a graphic organizer for each in which they create categories and list stories which fit them.
