King Gunther receives Siegfried's help winning Brunhild as his bride. Ironically, she knows it wan't King Gunther who defeated her and she subdues the King to prove it.

Mastery

Mime tells Siegfried to leave his apprenticeship and go home as he has mastered his craft. Ironically, he doesn't go home when he hears the story of the princess he sets off on a dangerous path to win her heart.

Worms

Siegfried sets off for Worms in order to win the princess. Ironically, he does not know that their is a dragon that stands in the way of him getting what he desires, and he must slay it in order to pass.

Dragon

Mime believes that Siegfried is off to his death as there is a dragon that lies in the wait for him on the journey. Ironically, Siegfried valiantly defeats the dragon and survives to gain his desires.

Brunhild

King Gunther desires to win Brunhild as his bride, but ironically isn't willing to accept the feats of strength that she requires in order to marry her. Thus, he enlists Siegfried to help him do so.
