Pearl Tull
Pearl is the mother of the family. Hot-tempered and strong-willed, she loves her children dearly, but is unable to express it in her actions. She is also extremely critical, disliking weakness most especially in herself.
Cody Tull
Cody is the oldest Tull sibling. He at first comes off as very mischievous and exuberant, but he also has a more malicious side which manifests in him developing an obsessive and highly damaging one-sided rivalry with Ezra because he believes Pearl loves him more.
Ezra Tull
Ezra is the second oldest son of the family. Cody believes that Pearl favors him for his dreamy and temperate personality. Subsequently, when Ezra falls in love with a woman, Cody then seeks to take her for himself.
Jenny Tull
Jenny is the youngest/only daughter of the family. She suffers drastically from her father's desertion and her mother's hot-tempered nature, leading her to swear never to become like her when she is older.
