be Brave & deny at the outset—that pathetic clap-trap war cry Woman is the equal of man – for She is NOT!

Narrator

The equality of the sexes is one of the main theme of the essay - namely, the absence of such an equality rather than its presence. Presumably, women and men are made by nature with different purposes and different functions; thus, they cannot be equal. But the mistake is to place women on the same footing with men – it is where the evil lies. Each woman is a unique one and conscious comprehension of it can bring an understanding of a woman and her place to a new level.

Nature has endowed the complete functions—there are no restrictions on the woman

Narrator

A common illusion reigns in society that a woman has only functions equated with her sexual performance and maternity. In this way, a division for women-mothers and women-mistresses exists in society. But Mina Loy speaks for demolition of such an illusion, as there are no restrictions to a woman, she might be anything she wants – the only barrier is in mental attitude towards these issues.

Every woman has a right to maternity— Every woman of superior intelligence should realize her race-responsibility

Narrator

What women differ from men is their ability to give birth, and this function is endowed by nature as the greatest gift. Maternity, as indicated by Loy, is the greatest level of happiness.
