Can you understand Victor's two rejections of the creature? How do you react to Victor's obvious dissappointment with himself as well?

I, personally, do not understand Victor's rejection of the creature. He gave the creature life.... to desert the creature.... to run away from the responsibility of that creation was cowardly and certainly not scientific.
