Franny and Zooey contains references to suicide (namely, of the protagonists' oldest brother, Seymour), which may be worth warning students about. In addition, the stories include certain cultural and literary references that may be unfamiliar to students (e.g. Flaubert, Epictetus, etc.), so consider having a reference sheet available to help students contextualize what these references mean.
