Students will use Google Earth to research the historical routes of crop and livestock diffusion in Africa

Structure:

Divide into groups and use Google Earth to study the African continent and how early agriculture spread along its north-south axis. Assign different regions to each group as follows:

Group 1: Fertile Crescent to Egypt/Ethiopian Highlands

Group 2: Ethiopian Highlands to South Africa

Group 3: Sahel Zone/West Africa to East and South Africa
