Have a Little Faith Quotes

Quotes

“Faith is about doing. You are how you act, not just how you believe.”

Mitch Albom

The author, Albom, goes through a spiritual journey as he converses with Lewis over time rediscovering his faith. The novel highlights the importance of faith from the perspective of different characters to show how it grows and molds an individual. Albom talks to men who have dedicated their lives to God and have had a strong faith for a long period. On the other hand, he lost his faith in his youth and had a hard time rediscovering it again. The assertion expresses how he gradually understands faith, in that it is more than just the act of believing.

If we tend to the things that are important in life, if we are right with those we love, and behave in line with our faith, our lives will not be cursed with the aching throb of unfulfilled business.

Mitch Albom

Albom also comes to understand there is a thin line between faith and community in that they complement each other and sometimes even the same thing. Faith builds a sense of belonging due to the aspect of shared interests and absolute surrender to a concept beyond ourselves. He observes how the act of belief surpasses the confines of religion and spills over to the community. Therefore the statement shows how the acts of being there for loved ones go hand in hand with one’s strong faith.
