Friends
Amphitryon and Megora have many friends in Thebes who could defy Lykos and save them. Ironically, none of their friends do as they are either unable to stop him or are unwilling to risk their own lives to do so.
Creon
Creon was the King before being killed by Lykos. He had great wealth and power; ironically, these were what Lykos desired and was willing to take another man's life to get.
Sweet Words
Megora uses sweet words to stop her children from crying and ease any fear they have about dying. Ironically, her sweet words are only a cover for the reality that Lykos will take their lives.
Dead
Lykos tells Megora that Heracles is dead in the Halls of Hades. Ironically, he is alive and simply has yet to return from his final labour, and Lykos tells her this in order to convince her to leave Zeus' temple so he can kill her and her sons.
Coward
Lykos called Hercales a coward to Megoras. Ironically, Amphitryon reminds Lykos of all those on the earth who would name Heracles the bravest man, including the Centaurs.
