    What metaphorical roles to Jesus and the devil take on for Patria in Chapter 10? What makes these character connections significant?

    Throughout Chapter 10, Patria continually juxtaposes the ideas of Trujillo and Jesus. In Mamá's old house, the pictures of Jesus Christ and Trujillo hung right next to each other.
