Thus the brother-brother, and the king – the subject relationships are depicted.

When Clytemnestra finds the awful truth, her grief has no boundaries. Her mother’s love is poetically shown in the play. She is crying, kneeling and suffering most of all.

The author puts into the Agamemnon’s mouth words that show his point of view and the attitude towards the world. According to Euripides the life is given to endure both happiness and grief. Agamemnon is the most powerful man in his world, but even his power cannot help him to save his own daughter.

Devotedness, faithfulness, and loyalty were the most valued features in the servants and slaves. Agamemnon’s attendant would prefer to be killed rather than betray his master.
“Friends should sympathize with friends in sorrow.” “Claim my help by kindly service, not by paining me.”
Meneleus with indignation tells Agamemnon that he is not his friend, as friends are united by hardship and misery. To this claim, Agamemnon responds that a friend would not call a friend to execution.
