How do the characters from "At the 'Cadian Ball" seem to change in "The Storm"? In what ways are they the same in each story?
Alcée, though a parent and husband, remains an adventurer and a bit of a womanizer. Calixta seems to have settled into domestic life, which seems different from her character's tendencies in "At the 'Cadian Ball." Bobinôt also seems quite similar in some ways—a bit bumbling and naïve—but he also shows a new and noteworthy commitment to fatherhood. Clarisse, even in the brief moment she appears in "The Storm," is still bold and independent, though perhaps more trusting than she was.
