Students should discuss the different ways people talk about those who live on opposing side of Two Mills, like when Grayson asks questions about what people eat or in the beginning of the story when Amanda is suspicious of Maniac. The lack of exposure to people from the other side of town creates a lack of understanding about the people who live there. Because this has gone on for so long, it has created hostility between the two sides.
