Is Frank ready to forgive his dad eldon?

Eldon has been largely absent for most of Frank's life, unable to keep to the promises he makes to Frank due to his alcoholism. Frank reckons with Eldon's absence and neglect over the course of the novel, in turn figuring out what the loss of his biological father means given their fraught relationship. I don't think that Frank forgives his father more than understands him better by the end of the book.
