Students will record their reactions, questions, and make and evaluate predictions throughout the duration of the novel

Structure:

Meridian recounts scenes with racial slurs, sexual assaults, and racially motivated violence on more than one occasion. Abortion and suicidal thoughts are also depicted in the novel.
