Students will recreate a passage from the novel as a scene in a stage play.

Structure:

Moby Dick is a novel filled with beautiful prose and dialogue, the impact of which may be diminished as students attempt to navigate their way through Melville's dense book. This activity will give your class the opportunity to extract a portion of Melville's prose from the main text and examine it more closely, as a smaller piece of a whole work.
