Does Douglass´ ever encounter his former owner after he escapes? And what happens?

Once aboard the next train heading North Douglass sees one of his employers from the Maryland shipyards in the window of a Southern bound train that had stopped on the tracks opposite his train. Fortunately Douglass is able to evade his sight.
