Abolitionists of the time would have pointed to Douglas's pious belief in a Christian God as a good reason to end slavery. This is true for Uncle Tom as well. Despite being abused by "Christians" on a daily basis, Abolitionists would have applauded these individuals and despised the very unchristian conditions all your listed people were exposed to. To get into greater detail about each one would take up too much space for this short forum.
