pilgrim

A traveler or visitor.

tinker

Someone who repairs minor appliances and gadgets for a living.

languorous

Unhurried and lethargic; something done in a way almost as if in a dreamlike state.

insouciant

A carefree sort of indifference that conveys a sense of happiness and nonchalance rather than an expression of uncaring insolence.

decadence

An excess of corrupt self-indulgence verging on depravity and debauchery.

excoriate

To criticize someone past the point of berating them and to the metaphorical level of chewing them out.

disspation

The dispersal, vanishing and scattering caused by the disintegration of an entity.

pellucid

Having a quality of being able to be seen through; not transparent so much as opaque.

diminutive

Indicating a smallness in size, though not necessarily limited to a physical description of being short; conveys the concept of being a miniature version of something larger.

Ichthyology

The science of studying fish.

extricate

To remove something from a situation in which it has been entangled, thus making the removal more difficult or problematic than usual.

wastrel

More than a mere spendthrift; someone who is given to wasting resources on a much larger scale. A person incapable of frugality or being a miser; a squanderer.

redolence

An evocative suggestion of fragrance, scent or aroma; usually applied to a pleasant bouquet although it is applicable to a less pleasing odor.

decadence

A state of moral and spiritual breakdown.

ply

To work at with productive energy and intent.

rue

To express sorrowful regret with an implicit promise to never again do that which one regrets.

umbrage

Profound sense of angry annoyance.

pallor

An unhealthy and curiously bloodless sort of paleness.

macabre

Disquieting, disturbing and with more than a hint of the unexplainably horrific

fecund

Unusualy fertile and capable of new growth.
