Point Omega Background

Point Omega Background

Point Omega is a novella written by American novelist and playwright Don DeLillo. Released in 2010, it is DeLillo's fifteenth published work.

The short book recounts the tale of Richard Elster, a scholar who served in the military to write about the war. Afterwards, he travels to the desert to remain solitary and search for the meaning of the universe and time. As time goes on, his daughter and a New York filmmaker join him, and together, they build tender, trusting relationships between the three of them, until one day, tragedy strikes.

Point Omega was praised by critics for DeLillo's exploration of a complex and intriguing plot. DeLillo's writing style was also praised for its unadulterated ability to surprise and disorient readers.
