Lynn Nottage is an American playwright who has won two Pulitzer Prizes for Drama: in 2009 for her play Ruined, and in 2017 for her play Sweat. She is the only woman to date who has won twice. Nottage's work is typically concerned with the lives of marginalized people, namely Black working-class people. Most recently (in the 2021/22 season), she had two shows on Broadway: MJ the Musical, and Clyde's. Her work has been produced widely across the United States as well as abroad. Nottage also works as a screenwriter, developing original projects for various networks and shepherding other writers' work into the world through her production company, Market Road Films.
