The creators of man had tried severally to create a person that would worship and praise them for the work that they had done in creation. The second attempt of the creation of man was people that were not conscious and did not remember their creators and were thus condemned to die. It is a situational irony that the men were eaten by animals that had been created for food for the human race.

The death of Seven Macaw

The four hundred boys were jealous of the might and power of Zipacna and they plotted to kill him out of jealousy. They tricked him into helping them dig a hole that they wanted to burry him in by pouring sand once he was inside. It is ironical that the boys planned the murder of Zipacna who did them no harm.

The defeat of Zipacna by two boys

It is ironical that Zipacna who was mighty and well built was killed by two boys Hunaphu and Xbalanque. Previously, four hundred boys had tried to kill him but he managed to outdo them. Only Hunaphu and Xbalanque two young boys were able to kill him.

Blood Woman's sentence to death

Blood Woman was the daughter of Blood Gatherer. She got pregnant out of wedlock and her father ordered her death because he could not bear his daughter having a child out of wedlock. This is a situational irony for parents should be loving and accepting of their children.
