Objective:

Students will continue to compare the movie to the book.

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.7 Analyze the representation of a subject or a key scene in two different artistic mediums, including what is emphasized or absent in each treatment.

Structure:

This film-viewing activity focuses specifically on comparing and contrasting the novel with the film adaptation.

Students should create in their notebooks a chart with two columns. One column should be labeled "similarities" and the other column should be labeled "differences."
