Ray Bradbury: Short Stories Ray Bradbury and Cinema

Many of Bradbury's literary works have been adapted for film and have excelled in that medium. Fahrenheit 451 was adapted into a film in 1966, and was nominated for several awards. Over twenty of his short stories were adapted for film, and he also wrote many episodes for various television shows. While many writers struggle to translate their literary works to the cinematic realm, Bradbury excelled in this regard. In 2004, he was given a National Medal for the Arts for both his literary and film accomplishments. He was also given a star on Hollywood Boulevard for his lifework.
