Alex Claremont-Diaz and Prince Henry are adversaries. Alex perceives henry as obnoxious and egoistic. Sarcastically, the two men are privileged and belong to the ruling class in their respective countries. Alex is the son of the President of the United States while Henry is the Prince of Wales. Aristocratic family members from different countries are not expected to have any grudges. Henry’s brother, Prince Philip, holds a wedding event and invites the first family. Alex attends the wedding along with his small sister, June. The wedding party is colorful until the commotion between Henry and Alex.
The wrangles between Alex and Henry damage the wedding cake to the chagrin of the invited guests. Alex’s mother, Ellen, is running for re-election and wants to guard her reputation. Therefore, she admonishes Alex once the returns to the U.S. Besides, she organizes for Alex to travel to the Queen’s palace and mend fences with Henry even if it will mean a faux relationship. Ellen seems not to be ready to endure the negative comments that are aired by mainstream media. The first few days are difficult for the two men to get used to each other. However, as time goes by, they become close.
Once rivals, Henry and Alex realize that they share many things in common. Alex is bisexual and Henry is gay. On New Year’s Eve, Henry attends a party at the White House and kisses Alex. The incident brings tense moments. Alex is worried about the negative comments from the members of the public. However, he is stunned to learn that everybody supports their new relationship. People ought to live true to one’s self and accept who they are irrespective of negative comments.
