Red
Red is a young and handsome boy who falls in love with Sally. He is intentionally drugged and kidnapped to leave the island without detection.
Sally
Sally is a native girl from the South Sea Islands. She is very sad when Red leaves. Sally holds onto hope that she will meet Red once again. Forced to marry Neilson, whom she does not love, Sally longs for her one and only lover.
Nielson
Nielson is a man who loves Sally, but she does not love him back. He forcefully marries Sally but is frustrated because she cannot love him.
Captain
Captain is the captain of the ship that smuggles Red out of the Island. He drugs and kidnaps Red at his request.
