Finding a Collection of Sources

Collaborative Writing

Objective:

Students will practice finding scholarly sources.

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.11-12.7

Structure:

To start the activity, explain to students that they will practice some important research skills. Reading and writing are important skills in an English class, but being able to find things to read and write about is just as important. Have students count off with numbers 1 through 4. They should then organize themselves into groups of 3 or 4 based on their numbers.
