Students will create a timeline in order to organize the information in the text.

Structure:

For this activity, students will create a timeline of some of the major events described thus far in Stamped from the Beginning.

To start the activity, put students in pairs and have them make a list (from memory) of as many events, people, and texts they can remember from what they have read so far from Stamped from the Beginning. Students will likely mention the Salem Witch Trials, the Revolutionary War, the writing of the Declaration of Independence, and more....
