Is alice stronger than she was before she figured out she had alzheimers?

Any disease, especially incurable one, makes a person to go a long way to acceptance. Alice’s tires to fight it, then suffers and only then accepts. It is important that her children are also able accept that their so clever and active mother is no longer capable to take care of herself. Their grief and sadness are never fully gone, but acceptance helps them to put up with the tragedy and give their mother what she needs more.
