Collectivist theory of economic based on equitable distribution of wealth.

sociology

The social science studying the development and structure of organized relationships among people.

Outdated term for movies and film.

apprehension

A feeling of timidity based on doubt about future consequences.

atrocious

Appalling, horrific, horrendous or wicked.

thou

An archaic form of addressing another person as “you.”

art

An archaic form of the word “are.”

excursion

An expedition, usually to an exotic or unlikely destination.

lark

Something done just for the heck of it.

hobo

A homeless person who travels from city to city rather than remaining in one location.

frail

Slang for a woman accompanying a man.

monstrosity

An unsightly eyesore horrible to look at.

aggregate

The combined amount that has been accumulated.

oppressor

One who controls others through force, coercion and intimidation.

bigamy

The crime of being married to more than one person at the same time.

alienation

Alienation or distancing from others.

cockeyed

Out of alignment; uneven and off-center.

vindictive

Looking to get revenge.

virulent

Aggressively contagious and infectious.

despair

A state of having lost all hope and being at the end of one’s rope.

adversity

A poverty of good fortune and an overabundance of hardship and difficulty.

extenuating

Qualifying in order to make less harsh or severe.
