Stakeholders represent every possible person or organization that stand to gain or lose as a result of the policies and activities of a business and how they contribute to the success or failure of the enterprise. They are anyone who has an interest in the businesses employment relations. E.g. Number of staff, ARWU (union), Chinese subsidies to Foxconn, China’s one child policy The various stakeholders in a restaurant business will be the employees who must be paid wages, the customers who will pay for food and drinks, the bank that provides business loans, neighboring merchants who will see business driven to them as a result of patrons shopping and the community as a whole that will benefit from the various taxable revenue raised as a result of the restaurant's success.
