The flexor muscles of the forearm (at the elbow joint) are the brachialis, the biceps brachialis, and the brachioradialis. Of these muscles of the anterior compartment, the brachialis is the most powerful. The forearm extensors are located in the posterior compartment. The triceps brachii is more powerful than the Anconeus.
