Ventral rami of spinal nerves( except between T2 1nd T12) form nerve networks called plexuses.. The brachial plexus is formed by nerves from anterior rami. Branches of the brachial plexus innervate the upper limbs. The lumbar and sacral plexuses are also formed by fibers from anterior rami. The lower limbs are served by branches of the lumbar and sacral plexuses.
