Answer

The division of the nervous system and control of restful after dinner physiological processes of the bod is the parasympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) sometimes appropriately called the "rest and digest" system. . Organs and their responses to parasympathetic stimulation: 1. The pancreas, salivary glands and liver will respond with increased secretory activities. 2. The stomach and intestines will increase in motility and muscle tone; sphincters will relax. 3. Gallbladder will show increased contractility. 3. Heart: heart beat will decrease in force and number.
