Inhibin is secreted by many organs in the reproductive and endocrines systems. In the male gonads inhibin is secreted by the Sertoli cells.

Inhibin is secreted by the Sertoli cells of the testes, but also by the pituitary gland, the placenta. and the corpus luteum. FSH stimulates the secretion of ihibin, but in a negative feed back inhibin can suppress FSH release.
