In synarthroses there is no movement between the bones that are connected by the joint. This is the case in sutures between some cranial bones in adults. A good example is the suture joint between frontal and parietal bone in adults.
In syndesmoses joints there is more connective tissue (that forms a ligament) between component bones of the joint. As a consequence theree is a little movement-- more than in sutures. Joints that are capable of this limited amount of movement are labeled amphiarthroses.

There is a limited amount of movement in the distal anterior tibio-fibular joint, as there is between teeth and their sockets in the mandible and maxilla.
