Most flexor movements of limbs are in the saggital plane. However, the lateral movement of the trunk to one side, or the other, is in the coronal plane. Also, when the thumb is flexed medially at the trapezium-metacarpal joint to touch the opposite side of the palm, that is a flexion that is not in the saggital plane.
