Chapter 2 - Water and Carbon: The Chemical Basis of Life - Review - Case Study - Page 77: 12

Answer

The water would taste fresh.

Work Step by Step

When water freezes (turns from a liquid to a solid), the water molecules bind together in a crystalline structure. Because salt molecules are excluded from the formation of ice, if you were to freeze salt water and taste the resulting ice it would be taste like fresh water as there would be no salt molecules included in the structure of the ice.
