Though the enzyme catalyzes the reaction from AB→ A+B it is important to note that the enzyme make the activation energy for the reverse reaction A+B → AB to exactly the same degree. The forward and backward reactions will therefore be accelerated by the same factor by an enzyme. Think about the substrate binding site. Both A and B can fit into the binding site but so can AB.
