Elastic cartilage (Yellow cartilage) Fibrocartilage The matrix of fibrocartilage contains thick collagen fibers arranged widely. It is mainly found between adjacent vertebrae. Hyaline cartilage The matrix of hyaline cartilage is glassy and contains collagen fibers In less amount than of fibrocartilage. Its mainly found in the nose, at the ends of ribs and in the larynx and Trachea. Elastic cartilage The matrix of elastic cartilage contains elastin fibers. These cartilages are the most flexible than hyaline. It is mainly found in epiglottis, ear flaps, and at the tip of the nose.
